Tips for Better Results

Keep It Updated

Upload a fresh resume whenever you update your experience or skills. Better resumes = better matches.

Use Standard Formatting

Avoid complex tables, graphics, or unusual fonts. Clean formatting helps AI extraction accuracy.

One Page Isn't Always Better

For senior roles, a detailed 2-page resume often matches better than a cramped 1-pager.

Troubleshooting

Upload Failed

  • Check file size (max 10MB)
  • Ensure it's PDF or DOCX format
  • Try a different browser
  • Check your internet connection

Poor Extraction Quality

If the extracted text looks wrong:

  1. Try saving as PDF from Word
  2. Remove complex formatting
  3. Ensure text is selectable (not an image)
  4. Re-upload the fixed version

Skills Not Detected

AI detection isn't perfect. You can still get great matches even if some skills aren't auto-detected - the full text is always used for matching.

Privacy & Security

Your resume is:

  • Encrypted in storage
  • Private - only you can see it
  • Never shared with employers without your action
  • Deletable at any time
