Understanding Your Results
Match Score
A percentage showing overall fit:
| Score | Rating | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| 80-100% | Excellent | You're a strong candidate |
| 60-79% | Good | You meet most requirements |
| 40-59% | Fair | You have some relevant experience |
| Below 40% | Low | Consider if this role is right for you |
Match scores compare your resume to the job description. A lower score doesn't mean you won't get the job - it means you may need to strengthen your application.

- Medium match (50-69%): Apply but address gaps
- Low match (below 50%): Consider carefully
Improve Your Application
Use the "Missing Skills" to:
- Add relevant skills to your cover letter
- Highlight transferable experience
- Decide if you should update your resume
Update Your Resume
If you see patterns in missing skills:
- Consider adding those skills to your resume
- Update your default resume
- Re-run analyses to see improvement
Analysis Tips
Always run an analysis before applying. It takes seconds and gives you valuable insights to strengthen your application.
An 85% match won't guarantee an interview, and a 55% won't prevent one. Use scores as one input, not the only factor.
If multiple jobs show the same missing skills, that's a signal to either gain those skills or adjust your job search criteria.
Analysis Limits
