ApplyrFlow's AI compares your resume to job listings to show you how well you match and what you can do to improve your chances.

How Analysis Works​

When you analyze a job:

  1. Your resume is compared to the job description
  2. AI identifies matches and gaps
  3. You receive a match score and recommendations

Running an Analysis​

From a Saved Job​

  1. Click on any job card
  2. Click Analyze Match
  3. Select which resume to use (or use default)
  4. Wait for results (usually 5-15 seconds)

From the Extension​

  1. On any job page, open the ApplyrFlow extension
  2. Click Quick Match
  3. See your match score instantly

Understanding Your Results​

Match Score​

A percentage showing overall fit:

Score Context

Match scores compare your resume to the job description. A lower score doesn't mean you won't get the job - it means you may need to strengthen your application.

Using Analysis Results​

Decide Whether to Apply​

Use the match score to prioritize:

  • High match (70%+): Apply with confidence
  • Medium match (50-69%): Apply but address gaps
  • Low match (below 50%): Consider carefully

Improve Your Application​

Use the "Missing Skills" to:

  1. Add relevant skills to your cover letter
  2. Highlight transferable experience
  3. Decide if you should update your resume

Update Your Resume​

If you see patterns in missing skills:

  1. Consider adding those skills to your resume
  2. Update your default resume
  3. Re-run analyses to see improvement

Analysis Tips​

Analyze Before Applying

Always run an analysis before applying. It takes seconds and gives you valuable insights to strengthen your application.

Don't Obsess Over Scores

An 85% match won't guarantee an interview, and a 55% won't prevent one. Use scores as one input, not the only factor.

Look for Patterns

If multiple jobs show the same missing skills, that's a signal to either gain those skills or adjust your job search criteria.

Why is my score low for a job I'm qualified for?​

Possible reasons:

  • Your resume doesn't use the same keywords
  • The job description is very specific
  • You have the experience but it's not highlighted

Solution: Review "Missing Keywords" and consider how to address them.

Can I improve my score?​

Yes! You can:

  • Update your resume with missing keywords
  • Re-analyze with a different resume version
  • Focus on jobs that better match your profile

How accurate is the AI?​

The AI provides a good estimate but isn't perfect. It can't assess:

  • Quality of experience
  • Cultural fit
  • Soft skills depth
  • Personal connections
