Application Pipeline

The application pipeline helps you visualize and manage your job search journey from initial interest to offer.

Pipeline Stages

Your jobs flow through four stages:

1. Saved

Jobs you're interested in but haven't applied to yet.

What to do here:

  • Review match scores
  • Research the company
  • Prepare your application materials
  • Decide if you want to apply

2. Applied

Jobs where you've submitted an application.

What to do here:

  • Track application dates
  • Note which resume version you used
  • Monitor for responses
  • Set follow-up reminders

3. Interview

Jobs where you have interviews scheduled or completed.

What to do here:

  • Add interview dates and times
  • Note interviewer names
  • Track interview rounds
  • Record feedback and notes

4. Offer

Jobs where you've received an offer.

What to do here:

  • Compare offers
  • Note salary and benefits
  • Track deadline dates
  • Make your decision

Pipeline Best Practices

Update in Real-Time

Move jobs immediately when their status changes. This keeps your analytics accurate and your pipeline useful.

Add Notes

Every time you interact with a company, add a note. This creates a valuable history of your job search.

Weekly Pipeline Review

Once a week, review your pipeline:

  • Follow up on stale applications
  • Remove jobs you're no longer interested in
  • Celebrate your progress!

Using the Pipeline Effectively

For Active Job Seekers

  • Keep "Saved" under 20 jobs - too many becomes overwhelming
  • Aim to move jobs to "Applied" within 48 hours
  • Follow up on applications after 1 week
  • Prepare for interviews as soon as they're scheduled

For Passive Job Seekers

  • Save interesting jobs as you come across them
  • Review and apply to top matches weekly
  • Keep your resume updated for quick applications
