Extension Troubleshooting

Having issues with the ApplyrFlow extension? Find solutions to common problems here.

Common Issues

Extension Not Loading

Symptoms:

  • Clicking the icon does nothing
  • Extension panel is blank
  • "Extension not responding" error

Solutions:

  1. Refresh the page

    • Press Ctrl+R (Windows) or Cmd+R (Mac)
    • Try clicking the extension again
  2. Restart Chrome

    • Close all Chrome windows
    • Reopen Chrome
    • Try again
  3. Check extension is enabled

    • Go to chrome://extensions
    • Find ApplyrFlow
    • Ensure the toggle is ON
  4. Reinstall the extension

    • Remove the extension
    • Reinstall from Chrome Web Store

Not Signed In

Symptoms:

  • "Please sign in" message
  • Can't save jobs
  • "Session expired" error

Solutions:

  1. Sign in through extension

    • Click extension icon
    • Click "Sign In"
    • Enter your credentials
  2. Sign in on website first

    • Go to applyrflow.com
    • Sign in there
    • Extension should sync automatically
  3. Clear extension data

    • Go to chrome://extensions
    • Click "Details" on ApplyrFlow
    • Click "Clear data"
    • Sign in again

Job Not Detected

Symptoms:

  • "No job found on this page"
  • Blank job details
  • Missing information

Solutions:

  1. Check you're on a job detail page

    • Must be the full job listing
    • Not search results page
    • Not a job preview panel
  2. Refresh and wait

    • Refresh the page
    • Wait for page to fully load
    • Then try the extension
  3. Check if site is supported

    • LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor: Full support
    • Some career sites: Partial support
    • Request support for new sites
  4. Use manual entry

    • Click extension → "Add Manually"
    • Enter job details yourself

Incorrect Job Details

Symptoms:

  • Wrong job title
  • Missing company name
  • Incorrect salary

Solutions:

  1. Edit before saving

    • Click the edit icon in the extension
    • Correct the details
    • Then save
  2. Edit after saving

    • Go to your dashboard
    • Click the job
    • Edit the details there
  3. Report the issue

    • Email support with the job URL
    • We'll improve detection

Quick Match Failing

Symptoms:

  • "Analysis failed" error
  • Stuck on "Analyzing..."
  • No match score shown

Solutions:

  1. Check your resume

    • Must have at least one resume uploaded
    • Must have a default resume set
    • Go to Dashboard → Resumes to verify
  2. Check your quota

    • Free users: 5 analyses/month
    • Check remaining in Settings → Usage
    • Upgrade for more
  3. Try again

    • Wait a moment
    • Click Quick Match again
    • If persistent, contact support

Extension Crashes

Symptoms:

  • Chrome says extension crashed
  • Constant error messages
  • Browser slowing down

Solutions:

  1. Update Chrome

    • Go to chrome://settings/help
    • Update if available
    • Restart browser
  2. Update extension

    • Go to chrome://extensions
    • Enable Developer mode
    • Click "Update"
  3. Disable conflicting extensions

    • Disable other extensions temporarily
    • Test ApplyrFlow alone
    • Re-enable one by one to find conflicts
  4. Clean install

    • Remove ApplyrFlow
    • Restart Chrome
    • Reinstall from Web Store

Site-Specific Issues

LinkedIn

Can't detect job from feed:

  • Click into the full job listing
  • Wait for page to load completely
  • Then use extension

"Sign in to see more":

  • Sign into LinkedIn first
  • Then try saving the job

Indeed

Job shows in popup but not detected:

  • Click "Full job details" or job title
  • Open the full job page
  • Then use extension

Glassdoor

Company page not job page:

  • Navigate to specific job listing
  • Not just company overview

Performance Issues

Extension Slowing Down Browser

  1. Check for conflicting extensions
  2. Reduce number of open tabs
  3. Update Chrome to latest version
  4. Reinstall extension

Slow to Load

  1. Check internet connection
  2. Disable other extensions temporarily
  3. Clear browser cache
